Name Competition…Continued
A friend and myself are in the process of setting up a not-for-profit organization that would put together and run edgy conferences (i.e xxxchurch) plus to support and promote fringe minstries such as that of Anne Burt who goes into the Brothels in Fyshwick (you can hear an interview with her here) with the future vision that some day this might become a church plant .
Well I was looking at the registration forms and figuring out what needed to be done and typing up vision and so forth when i realized that we don’t have a name for the ministry and I have nothing, SO am running a competition to see you can come up with the best name for the ministry.
the winner will get a a free copy of the xxxchurch night DVD, and a free book (not sure which one yet but it should be good), and a photo of me 
so start posting your name ideas.

I’m about the least creative person I know, so I’m unlikely to come up with anything. But I think I can suggest what NOT to use, and that’s anything with the word “ministries” in it (sorry Kenneth!) – sounds like some American TV evangelist sort of thing, and I reckon it would be misunderstood or a turnoff by people outside churchianity.
Scum of the earth is a great name for people who revel in being outsiders (e.g. punks) but it’s already taken, and may not be good for people who might have low self esteem.
My best would be something simple and ambiguous like Oxygen or Breathe (already taken) or Arthur. : )
Seriously, why don’t you pray and ask God to give you the best name – in a dream or just in your head, or even on this blog. Do you have the faith for that?

what pray and ask God to speak?? maybe i should just open up the bible adhock and point for the name…does that qualify as God speaking or just the fact that he spoke in the past and now finally i have found it????
